Sunday the 11th of April

It's Sunday, it's hangover-day, your head feels like a volcanic eruption, you feel like crap. Fortunately SLAVE's feeling great and comes with the best programme you can imagine on a Sunday. As a good friend of mine once told me: "Ich kenne kein Weekend", now I'm saying you guys, why should you stay at home, whirling and circling around in your house with no purpose...

Come to SLAVE in Supperclub, where you're never alone, where you can have a nice dinner (€15,- for main course and dessert, our special DAGHAP) and enjoy a nice cultural programme.

This Sunday we have a fully programmed evening for you, with the finest artists from various corners.

Karim Traïdia

First of all we'll have a film screening by director Karim Traïdia. This originally Algerian filmmaker studied sociology in Paris and moved to Holland in 1979. In 1991 he completed his studies at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Ever since, he has worked as a film-maker, and made films such as the highly acclaimed (2 "Gouden Kalveren") "The Polish Bride" (1998) and "Eilandgasten" (2005). During this night, SLAVE will be screening his graduation piece, "De Onmacht" (1991). Afterwards there will be time for questions! Movie starts at 18.30!

Przemek Fronczak

Dear-us is a development programme/company for arts, concepts, movies, music, lifestyle, stories, movement, and many more! It develops products in a way that people are depending on a good will.

It's not all that hard to discover what the words are about, DEAR US, DEAR each other,
It's about believing in people and in future collaboration.
It's about making products together without the capitalistic mindset.

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will. While the importance of new product development has long been recognized in high-tech settings, it has frequently been viewed as an art whose success depended more on serendipity and good fortune than on good management/people.

And Dear-us is not dependent on good fortune, it's dependent on working together on a product that is needed!
Its a lifestyle for a future we need to sustain, and need to believe in.

Filiaal Zuid

A young and fresh organ trio that makes unpredictable swinging music, Filiaal Zuid is a trio that will make your legs move and your arms swing. In brief, stimulating music and amazing improvisations that make for easy listening altogether.

"Filiaal Zuid, nostalgisch geluid met een moderne twist!"

Organ - Tim Kerssies
Guitar - Hanjo Fisser
Drums - Bram Gorel

Luna Dos Tres

Latin American trio playing a variety of songs and dances from Spanish speaking countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Peru and Argentina. Singer Luna Zegers, who has a lot of experience with Spanish and Latin American music, is accompanied by two guitar players (Roel Goedhart and Ward Spanjers). This trio in its authentic form will play original styles like tango, bolero, vals criollo and son. Since I have their music on my Ipod, I would recommend the whole world to listen to this talented trio. Music that catches your heart, spins with it, covers it up with passion and puts it back into your chest. wauw.
